1. The present writ petition under Article 226 & 227 of the writ petition seeks to assail the order dated 27.03.2023 passed by the learned Central Administrative Tribunal (Tribunal) in Original Application (O.A.) No. 844/2020. Vide the impugned order, the learned Tribunal has allowed the O.A. filed by the respondent/applicant and has consequently, directed the petitioners to step up the pay of the respondents at par with their junior, namely, Shri Kalika Charan.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner fairly submits that the decision of the learned Tribunal is based on a decision of the Apex Court in Union of India v. C.R. Madhva Murthy & Another [(2022) 6 SCC 183]. The respondent no. 1, who appears in person, also submits that this issue has not only been decided in their favour in C.R. 3. In the light of the aforesaid fair stand taken by learned counsel for the petitioner, there is no reason to interfere with the impugned order. The writ petition is, accordingly, dismissed.
4. The petitioners are, as prayed for, granted six weeks' time to comply with the impugned order.
