O R D E R

% 08.03.2025 Appellant insurance company has filed an appeal for reduction of the award dated 10.01.2014 passed by the Learned MACT, awarding a compensation of Rs. 19,23,661/- along with interest @ 9% p.a. from the date of filing of claim petition. On appeal, the insurance company deposited entire awarded amount with up to date interest in terms of the order dated 18.03.2014 passed by this Hon'ble Court, deposited through UCO Bank, Delhi High Court branch and 80% of the awarded amount was directed to be released in favour of the respondents/claimants.

We have interacted with the learned Counsel/parties concerned. Apropos such interaction and due deliberation, it is agreed between the parties that out of the balance amount along with accrued interest lying before the Registrar General, lump sum amount of Rs. 1,12,000/- be released to the insurance company and balance amount along with total interest shall go to respondents/claimants. In view of the above settlement, Registrar General is directed to refund the sum of Rs. 1,12,000/- to the insurance company and balance amount along with total interest be directed to be released to the respondents/claimants in terms of the award of the Tribunal. The statutory amount deposited as a pre-condition for filing appeal with interest, if any, be refunded to the Insurance Company. The present appeal alongwith the pending application(s), if any, is disposed of with directions in terms of the foregoing settlement. A copy of this order be sent to concerned Ld. Tribunal with LCR, if requisitioned and received.
