% 14.03.2017 W.P.(CRL) no. 789/2017 & Crl.M.A. No.4273/2017 (Exemption) It is submitted that petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably before the Mediation Centre, Saket Courts, New Delhi on 7th December, 2015, therefore, FIR No. 667/2015 under Sections 498-A1406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Kalkaji, on the complaint of respondent no. 2, may be quashed. Petitioner nos. 2 to 5 are relatives of petitioner no. 1. Respondent no. 2 is present in Court along with her counsel and has also been identified by SI Satish Bhati, P.S. Kalkaji. Respondent

no. 2 admits having settled the matter with the petitioners of her own free will and without any undue force, coercion and pressure. It is further submitted that first motion has already been accepted. She further submits that she is not willing to pursue the FIR any further, in view of the settlement arrived at between her and the petitioner no. 1 before the Mediation Centre.

Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, FIR No. 667/2015 under Sections 498-A/406134 IPC registered at Police Station Kalkaji and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
