The present petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking quashing of FIR No. 195/2018 registered under Sections 308/341/34 IPC at Police Station Vijay Vihar, Delhi on the ground that the dispute has been amicably settled.

As per the allegations levelled in the FIR, the present case was registered on the complaint of respondent No. 2/complainant against the petitioners. The complainant alleged that when the complainant/respondent No.2 was returning after visiting his parents on 18.03.2018, the relatives of his wife Pooja stopped and beat him.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the parties are related to each other. It is further stated that the connected disputes being FIR No.796/2017 registered under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC and Section 4 of the D.V. Act, and FIR No.196/2018 registered under Sections 451/509/354B/323 IPC at P.S. Vijay Vihar, Delhi already stand settled and quashed vide order passed today in W.P.(CRL) 5/2024 and CRL.M.C.9450/2023.

It is further informed that as per the settlement/agreement dated 16.04.2018, it was decided that the parties would cooperate in quashing of the present FIR. 5.

The petitioners are present in the Court and are identified by their counsel as well as the Investigating Officer/ SI Sunny Khatri, PS Vijay Vihar, New Delhi, who is present in the Court today. Respondent No. 2 is also present in the Court and is also identified by the Investigating Officer. 6.

The petitioners have shown remorse for their conduct and they undertake not to repeat the same in future. Respondent No. 2 also states that he has entered into the aforementioned settlement agreement out of his own free will, volition and without any coercion. He further states that he has no objection if the present FIR and consequent proceedings are quashed. 7.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that no other proceedings are pending between the parties.

The parties shall remain bound by the statements made in Court today.

In view of the above facts and since no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the proceedings, it is directed that the aforesaid FIR and The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.
