O R D E R

The present proceedings are instituted under Section 482 Cr.P.C. read with Article 227 of the Constitution of India on behalf of the petitioners seeking quashing of FIR No. 120/2018 registered under Sections 323/365/506/34 IPC at P.S. Punjabi Bagh, Delhi on the ground that the parties have amicably settled their disputes. 2.

As per the allegations levelled in the FIR, respondent No. 3 was beaten up by her brothers and parents i.e. the present petitioners due to them not approving of respondent no. 3's marriage with respondent No. 2. 3.

complainants/victims in the present case.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners and respondent Nos. 2 and 3 are related to each other as respondent No. 3 is sister of petitioner Nos. 1 to 3 and daughter of petitioner No.4 whereas respondent No.2 is husband of respondent No.3 and present FIR was registered due to misunderstanding and with the intervention of family members and friends, parties have amicably settled their disputes vide Settlement Deed dated 07.12.2023 and in terms of the said settlement, complainants are now left with no claim or grievance against the petitioners. 5.

The petitioners and respondent Nos. 2 and 3, who are present in Court, have been identified by their respective counsel as well as by the IO/SI Sandeep Mathur, P.S. Punjabi Bagh.

The petitioners have shown remorse for their conduct and undertake not to repeat the same in future. Respondent Nos. 2 and 3 also state that they have settled their disputes with the petitioners out of their own free will, volition and without any coercion. They further state that they have no objection if the present FIR and consequent proceedings are quashed. 7.

The parties shall remain bound by the statements made in Court today.

In view of the above facts and considering that no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the proceedings, it is directed that the aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed, 9.
