% 12.11.2024 The solitary relief which is claimed in the instant writ petition is in respect of a reference stated to have been filed by the petitioners in terms of Section 18 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 and a failure on the part of the respondents to deal with the same. Mr. Pathak, learned counsel appearing for the Land Acquisition Collector, states that subject to due verification of all facts and contentions on merits being kept open, the pending reference shall be duly examined and disposed of in accordance with law with expedition and preferably within a period of eight weeks from today.
