The present petition under Section 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 seeks following prayers:- "(a) Take cognizance and initiate action of contempt against the Contemnor/Respondent No.1 for willfully disobeying the judgment and order dated 09.08.2023 in W.P.(C) No. 2954/2021, passed by this Hon'ble Court and direct the Contemnor/Respondent No.1 make the payment to the Petitioner of notional increment which was due on 01.07.2015, along with interest at a rate of 4% per annum from 01.07.2014; (b) Initiate an enquiry against the above said officers and commit them to punishment for contempt of the orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit, proper and necessary, and (c) Pass such other and further order/s as may be deemed fit, proper and necessary on the facts and circumstances of the case." 3.
