unauthorized establishments and commercial activities in the nature of running Banquet Halls, Cafes, Scrap Yards and Car Washing Centres, etc. on the land mentioned in the petition itself.

Another prayer made in this petition is that a direction be issued to respondent no.4 to ensure that electricity connection to illegal and unauthorized establishments and commercial activities set to be carried out, be disconnected. The petition makes yet another prayer seeking a direction to the respondents to take departmental action against the erring officials for permitting the alleged illegal commercial activities.

The petitioner has instituted the proceedings of this PIL petition on 02.08.2025. The cause sought to be raised in this petition has first been represented by the petitioner to the Municipal Corporation only on 23.07.2025. So far as the grievance of the petitioner regarding illegal electricity connection is concerned, the petitioner has failed to approach the authority concerned. The petitioner appears to be in haste and that casts a shadow on his bonafides in instituting the instant proceedings as Public Interest Litigation petition. Once a representation was made to the Municipal Corporation for redressal of his grievances on 23.07.2025, the petitioner ought to have waited and given some reasonable time to the authorities of Municipal Corporation to act on his representation.

However, instead of giving reasonable time to the authorities, the petition is filed hardly within ten days from the date when the representation was made. We cannot appreciate such conduct on the part of the petitioner, more so, in the light of the fact that for alleged illegal electricity connection, the petitioner has approached the Court without approaching the authorities concerned.

In view of the aforesaid, we are not inclined to entertain this PIL petition. 6.

petitioner may be permitted to withdraw the petition with liberty to approach the authorities concerned.

Accordingly, on the prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner, the petition is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty to the petitioner to approach the concerned authorities for redressal of his grievances. If the petitioner, thus approaches the authorities concerned, the grievances of the petitioner shall be attended to and any action, which may be warranted under law, shall also be taken.
