This petition has been filed under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 on behalf of the petitioner, who is the claimant in the arbitration proceedings, for extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal.

It is stated that pleadings in the arbitration proceedings were completed on 18th June, 2024. Subsequently, the previous Arbitrator resigned in August 2024, and a fresh Arbitrator was appointed by this Court vide order dated 27th September, 2024. The current Arbitrator entered upon reference on 8th October, 2024.

2025, an extension would be required to be granted for the said period. 4.

Counsel for the petitioner submits that mandate of the Arbitrator may be extended for the period of one year.

The counsel for the respondent does not oppose the same. 6.

Having heard the counsel for the parties and taking into account the circumstances as noted above, the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended for the period of one year from today. 7.

The period from 18th June, 2025, till today stands regularised. 8.

The petition stands disposed of.
