This petition has been filed assailing the order dated 29th March, 2017 convicting the petitioner under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act in CC No. 50521/2016, PS Geeta Colony and sentenced by order dated 31st March, 2017 to payment of Rs. 5,50,000/- out of which Rs. 5,25,000/- was payable to the complainant as compensation and the remaining amount of Rs. 25,000/- was to be deposited with the State.

The complainant is present in Court assisted by his counsel and states that he has accepted Rs. 3 lacs as compensation in full and final settlement of the matter and does not wish to press the proceedings any further. 3.
In this view of the matter, the complaint would stand compounded, based on the statement of respondent. The remaining amount of Rs. 25,000/- which was to be deposited with the State, shall be complied with, within a period of three weeks.
