It is stated by the learned Counsel for the Respondents that the Arjuna Award for Outstanding Performance in Sports and Games (2023) are being distributed today. He also states that past four years' performance of the athlete is considered and the Petitioner's name will be considered for the next year's Awards if she applies for the same. 2.

This Court, at this juncture, instead of going into the merits of the case, and in view of the fact that the Awards have already been distributed, is inclined to dispose of the present Writ Petition with liberty to the Petitioner to approach this Court again if her name is not considered for the Arjuna Award for Outstanding Performance in Sports and Games (2024).
