This is an application filed by respondent no.3 (Curling Federation of India) seeking that the respondent no.2 (IOA) be directed to provide a list of players, having requisite qualifications in the sport of curling for the purpose of inclusion in the Indian Contingent which is to be sent for the upcoming th Asian Winter Games which are scheduled to be held from 7th to 14th February 2025, at Harbin, China (hereinafter 'The Winter Games'). 2.
Learned counsel for the IOA points out that in terms of the circumstancesas already noticed by this Court in the order dated 05.12.2024, The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. the necessary trials could not be conducted.Further, vide the said order dated 05.12.2024, this Court has taken note of the difficulty in selecting athletes for the purpose of participation in upcoming International Competitive Events. In this conspectus, it was observed by this Court as under:-
9. In light of the above, the Court is not inclined to issue any further directions. In so far as the request for extension of deadline for submitting names for the Asian Games is concerned, the Court leaves it to the discretion of the IOA to make such a request, in case so required, considering the fact that the conduct of the selection trial may require considerable time.

Today, learned counsel for the IOA has once again reiterated the difficulties in undertaking the selection process for selecting athletes in the sport of Curling for the purpose of participation in the upcoming Winter Games.

In view of the reasons already elaborated in the order dated 05.12.2024 passed by this Court, in the context of a similar application, this Court is unable to accede to the prayers made by the applicant in the present application.
