O R D E R

This is a petition seeking quashing of F.I.R. No. 0390/2019 dated 27.08.2019 under Sections 354/351(A)/313/498A/406/34 of the IPC and section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 registered at Police Station Seelampur.

There are cross FIRs registered by the parties. 3.

It is stated that the parties have arrived at a settlement dated 14.10.2024 before the Family Court, Saket and a memorandum of understanding has been executed between the parties. 4.

Petitioner is present in Court today and is identified by his counsel, Ms. Shobha Gupta.

Respondent No. 2 is also present in Court and is identified by his counsel Ms. Usha Yadav, Advocate, and IO SI Deepa Tilthiya, Police Station Seelampur.

It is stated that there is no child out of the wedlock. The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. The Order is downloaded from the DHC Server on 07/12/2024 at 11:39:22

Both parties state that they have entered into the aforesaid settlement out of their own free will, volition and without any threat, force, undue influence or coercion.

Since the parties have arrived at a settlement and no disputes are pending, I am convinced that quashing of such proceedings on account of compromise would bring about peace and would secure ends of justice. The Court does not see any fruitful purpose if criminal proceedings are permitted to be prosecuted any further. It is a fit case for quashing. 9.

Hence, the F.I.R. No. 0390/2019 dated 27.08.2019 under Sections 354/351(A)/313/498A/406/34 of the IPC and section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 registered at Police Station Seelampur and any subsequent proceeding arising out of the said F.I.R. are hereby quashed. 10.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
