This is the petition filed under Section 528 of BNSS, 2023 seeking quashing of the FIR No. 212/2012 dated 11.06.2012 registered at PS Seelampur under Sections 448/380/420/467/471/506/120B/34 of IPC and the consequential proceedings emanating thereafter. 2.

As per the FIR, the petitioner had forged some documents belonging to his paternal grandmother to deal with the property. 3.

However, the parties have arrived at a settlement dated 30.10.2023, wherein a total sum of Rs. 2.5 lakhs is to be paid by the petitioners to the respondent No. 2. The sum of Rs. 2.5 lakhs has already been received by the respondent No. 2 by the petitioners and the respondent No. 2 has agreed to the quashing of the FIR.

The petitioner and the respondent No. 2 are present and both are identified by Mr. Aditya Vashishth, learned counsel. Mr. Ajay Kumar being a proforma party stands deleted from the memo of parties.

The parties state that they have arrived at a settlement out of their own free will and without any threat, pressure, coercion or undue influence. 7.

Mr. Usman, learned APP opposes the quashing of the present FIR. 8.

I am satisfied that the matter has been settled and the settlement is lawful. Since the parties have arrived at a settlement and no disputes are pending, I am convinced that quashing of the present FIR and the consequential proceedings emanating thereafter would bring peace and secure ends of justice.

In view of the above facts and since no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the present criminal proceedings, it is directed that the aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed.
