This petition is filed seeking directions to the Family Court for expeditious disposal of interim maintenance· application filed by the petitioner under Section 125 Cr.P.C. bearing MT. No.419/2020. 2.
It is pointed out that the application was filed in December 2020. On 30th March 2021, counsel for respondent appeared and sought time to file reply. At that stage, an ad interim maintenance of Rs. 3,500/- per month, each to the petitioner and her daughter, was directed. Thereafter, the matter apparently had been listed on more than 15 dates numerous occasions and The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. counsel for respondent had been seeking adjournment on one pretext or the other.

Petitioner claims vagrancy and financial distress on account that she is taking care of her 4 year old daughter, and is completely dependent on the maintenance support for her livelihood. It is informed that the date fixed before the Trial Court is 10th September 2024. 4.
In these circumstances, petition is disposed of with directions to the Family Court to dispose of the interim maintenance application within a period of 2 months from this order.
