The petitioner is seeking initiation of contempt proceedings against the respondents, who are her husband and her in-laws. 2.

None is present for the respondents despite sending advance notice.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has alluded to the orders dated 11.12.2023, 29.02.2024, 28.03.2024 as well as the order dated 13.05.2024 passed by learned Metropolitan Magistrate (Mahila Court05), West District, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi ["MM"] but the petitioner has not been able to get any relief for the apparent contumacious conduct of the husband and her in-laws.

I have also gone through the reports which have been submitted by the Protection Officer on the record of the learned MM. 5.

allowing the plumber as well as the electrician to restore the supply to the portion of the house in occupation of the petitioner. 6.

It appears that the matter also came up on 14.08.2024 and there was no relief to the petitioner with regard to the restoration of supply of water to her portion.

It is evident from the orders passed by the learned MM, Mahila Court that the contumacious conduct of the respondents have not been dealt with by learned MM in a deft and sensitive manner. The wilful denial of supply of water to the petitioner is a matter of utmost cruelty and inhumane treatment.

It is submitted that the matter is listed for hearing on 07.10.2024 before the learned MM.

The present Contempt Petition is disposed of with direction to the learned MM, Mahila Court to prepone the matter for hearing on 09.09.2024 and issue coercive process against the respondents and directing them to restore the water supply to the portion of the house inhabited by the petitioner within 48 hours, failing which they be imposed with heavy costs.

Learned MM shall also be at the liberty to undertake such measures as may be warranted for seeking the appearance of the respondents before the Court through SHO or otherwise by attachment of their property in the manner provided by law. 11.

The copy of this order be given dasti to the learned counsel for the petitioner under the signature of the Court Master for information and necessary compliance by the learned MM.
