Though the counter-affidavit stated to have been filed by the respondents has been returned under objections, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that for the present, the petitioner would be satisfied in case this Court were to dispose of the writ petition by directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's claim for revised pension with effect from 01.01.2016 in a time bound manner.

Learned counsel for the respondents submits that though the petitioner's pay was revised in the year 2020, the respondents have no objection to treat the present writ petition as a representation and dispose of the same in the time as may be granted by this Court. 3.

the writ petition by directing the respondents to consider the present petition as a representation and decide the same within a period of twelve weeks by passing a reasoned and speaking order.

We further direct that if the petitioner's claim is accepted, the arrears in terms thereof will be released in his favour within twelve weeks thereafter. However, in case, the petitioner's claim is rejected, it will be open for the petitioner to seek legal recourse as permissible in law.
