Learned Standing Counsel accepts notice for the respondent no. 1. Respondent no. 2 is present in Court and accepts notice.

He has produced his driving licence and identity card issued by Employees' State Insurance Corporation, which have been verified by ASI Kallu Singh, P.S. Crime Branch. It is submitted that petitioners and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably; therefore, FIR No. 201/2016 under Sections 384/120-B IPC registered at Police Station Crime Branch may be quashed.

Respondent no. 2 submits that he has settled the matter with petitioners of his own free will and without any undue force, coercion and pressure, vide Settlement Deed dated 8th February, 2017. Respondent no. 2 further admits having received the entire settled amount. He submits that he has no objection in case FIR is quashed.

Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioners and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, I am of the opinion that no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 201/2016 under Sections 384/120-B IPC registered at Police Station Crime Branch and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
