By way of this writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 of Cr.P.C., petitioner has made the following prayers:- (i) To quash the lookout circular issued by customs department Indira Gandhi International Airport New Delhi against the petitioner to meet the ends of justice;

(ii) To issue direction in the nature of mandamus to the respondents to remove endorsement "offloaded" from the passport of the petitioner in the interest of justice.

Today none has appeared on behalf of the petitioner. 3.

Learned Senior Standing counsel for respondent No.3/Customs has W.P.(CRL) 760/2016

drawn the attention of this Court to the counter affidavit filed by it as per which the Look Out Circular opened by the Department vide application dated 14th October, 2015 has already lapsed and the department has not requested for continuation of the LOC of the petitioner after expiry of time period of LOC.

It appears that due to this reason the petitioner has not appeared today. 5.

In view of the above averments made in the counter affidavit nothing further survives for consideration in this writ petition and the same is hereby dismissed.
