This is a petition filed by the Petitioner-Navin Kumar Gupta under Section 29A(5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the Sole Arbitrator, who has been appointed in this matter. The matter was referred to DIAC, which appointed Shri Ramesh Chander, Chief Engineer (retd.) as the Sole Arbitrator vide order dated 8th September, 2021 on 4th March, 2022.

Ld. Counsel for the parties submit that arguments in the matter have been concluded and that at the time of filing of this petition, mandate of the Sole Arbitrator had ended which was on 5th December, 2023. However, the award is stated to be finally pronounced on 20th December, 2023. The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.
