CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK
O R D E R
% 20.02.2017 It is submitted that petitioners and respondent no. 2 are relatives. It is submitted that a quarrel took place between them on some trivial issue, which had led to the registration of FIR No. 575/2015 under Sections 307/34 IPC at Police Station Gokul Puri, on the complaint of respondent no. 2. With the intervention of their other family members, petitioners and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably. Respondent no. 2 is present in Court and has been identified by SI Subhash Kumar, P.S. Gokul Puri.
Respondent no. 2 submits that he has settled the matter with the petitioners of his own free will and without any undue force, coercion and pressure. Respondent no. 2 further submits that he is not willing to pursue the FIR any further.
Learned Additional Standing Counsel submits that matter is still at the investigation stage. It is further submitted that no one has received any injury in the incident.
Keeping in mind the totality of circumstances and settlement arrived at between the parties, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending.
Accordingly, FIR No. 575/2015 under Sections 307/34 IPC registered at Police Station Gokul Puri, which is at the investigation stage, is quashed.
Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Dasti. A.K. PATHAK, J.
