% 27.02.2017 It is submitted that petitioners and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably.

Petitioners and respondent no. 2 are related to each other. A quarrel took place between them on some trivial matter, which had led to registration of the present FIR No. 440/2016 under Sections 323/354(B)/509/34 IPC at Police Station Ranhola, on the complaint of respondent no. 2. It is submitted that in view of the compromise arrived at between the petitioners and respondent no. 2, vide a Compromise Deed dated 16th September, 2016, FIR may be quashed. Respondent no. 2 is present in Court and has been identified by SI Sandeep, P.S. Ranhola. She

submits that she has settled the matter with petitioners of her own free will and without any undue force, coercion and pressure. She further submits she is not willing to pursue the FIR any further. In view of the settlement arrived at between the petitioners and respondent no. 2, I am of the opinion that no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 440/2016 under Sections 323/354(B)/509/34 IPC registered at Police Station Ranhola and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
