This petition has been filed praying that the petitioner may be released on Parole for a period of three months. 2.

The petitioner stands convicted and sentenced under Sections 302/452/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (in short 'IPC'), vide order dated 07.02.1998 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge (North West), Rohini, Delhi. By the order dated 11.02.1998, he was sentenced with life imprisonment along with fine of Rs.5000/- for offence punishable under Section 302 read with 34 IPC, and rigorous imprisonment for 3 years along with a fine of Rs.5000/- for offence punishable under Section 452 read with 34 IPC. The petitioner claims to have filed an application seeking parole, which was dispatched to the concerned authority on 28.10.2023. The said application has yet not been decided by the Competent Authority.

In view of the above, the Competent Authority is directed to decide on the application filed by the petitioner herein within a period of two weeks from today.
