The present proceedings are instituted under Section 482 Cr.P.C. on behalf of the petitioner seeking quashing of FIR No. 832/2021 registered under Section 289 IPC at Police Station Dwarka North, Delhi on the ground that the parties have amicably settled their disputes. 2.
As per the allegations levelled in the FIR, complainant has alleged that the petitioner's dog bit her child.

Mr. Jha, learned APP for the State, on instructions, submits that petitioner is the only accused and respondent No.2 is the complainant/victim in the present case.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner and respondent No. 2 have amicably settled their disputes vide Compromise Deed/Memorandum of Settlement dated 01.12.2023. settlement, complainant is now left with no claim or grievance against the petitioner.

The petitioner, who is present in Court, has been identified by the counsel as well as the I.O./W/SI Rima Raj, P.S. Dwarka North and ASI Manoj, Special Cell. Respondent No. 2, who has joined the proceedings through VC, has also been identified by the I.O. 6.
Respondent No. 2 also states that she has settled the disputes with the petitioner out of her own free will, volition and without any coercion. She further states that she has no objection if the present FIR and the consequent proceedings are quashed.

The parties shall remain bound by the statements made in Court today.

In view of the above facts and considering that no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the proceedings, it is directed that the aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed. 9.
