Issue notice. Mr. Vineet Dhanda, learned Central Government Standing Counsel, accepts notice on behalf of Union Of India. 2.

By way of this petition under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ["the Act"], the petitioner seeks extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal, which is in seisin of disputes between the parties under an agreement dated 19.10.2013. 3.

There have been various changes in the constitution of the Arbitral Tribunal pursuant to which the present Arbitral Tribunal was constituted by the Delhi International Arbitration Centre in the year 2022. The Award has already been reserved. Mr. Hemant Singh, learned counsel for the petitioner, points out that by an order dated 08.12.2023, the learned Arbitral Tribunal has noted that an extension of time for at least three months would be required for making and publishing the Award. parties have also signified that they would not object to the same. 4.

Mr. Dhanda confirms that the respondents have no objection to the relief sought.

For the aforesaid reasons, the petition is allowed and the mandate of the learned Arbitral Tribunal is extended until a period of four months from today.
