% 14.03.2018 The learned cousnel for the second respondent, Govt. of NCT of Delhi has passed across the bar copy of notification dated 12th March, 2018 issued by the Revenue Department of the National Capital Territory of Delhi constituting Delhi Waqf Tribunal in exercise of power vested in it under the Waqf Act, 1995. The learned counsel submitted that the said notification has been published in Delhi Gazette dated 13th March, 2018, copy whereof was also submitted for the record.
In view of the above, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that he may be allowed to withdraw the present petition and instead approach the Waqf Tribunal for appropriate further relief, his further request only being that the interim protection granted by order dated CM(M) 209/2018
21.02.2018 may be extended by two weeks to facilitate the petitioner to take the necessary steps before Delhi Waqf Tribunal. The interim protection granted by order dated 21.02.2018 will inure in favour of the petitioners for a period of two weeks counted from today. Subject to this, the petition is dismissed as withdrawn.
