% 20.02.2018 Petitioners are brothers-in-law of respondent no. 2. Husband of respondent no. 2 has already expired. It is submitted that petitioners and respondent no. 2 have settled their disputes amicably, vide a Compromise Deed dated 8th August, 2017; therefore, FIR No.299/2012 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Binda Pur on the complaint of respondent no. 2, may be quashed. Respondent no. 2 is present in Court and has been identified by SI Kartar Singh of police station Binda Pur. Respondent no. 2 admits having settled the matter with the petitioners of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion.

Respondent no. 2 submits that she has no objection in case FIR is quashed. Keeping in view the settlement arrived at between the petitioners and respondent no.2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, FIR No.299/2012 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Binda Pur and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
