This is a petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.PC seeking quashing of the FIR No.751/2018 dated 26.12.2018 registered at PS Rajouri Garden under Sections 498A/406/34 of IPC.

The parties have arrived at a settlement before Delhi State Legal Services Authority ("DSLSA") on 19.01.2018.

It is stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that a sum of Rs. 2.60 lakhs was to be paid to the respondent No.2, which stands already paid.

The petitioner is present in Court and has been identified by Mr. Saurabh, learned counsel.

The respondent No.2 is also present in Court and has been identified by Mr. AP Singh, learned counsel and SI Devender Kumar, PS Rajouri Garden.

Since the parties have arrived at a settlement and no disputes are pending, I am convinced that quashing of such proceedings on account of compromise would bring peace and would secure ends of justice. The Court does not see any fruitful purpose if criminal proceedings are permitted to be prosecuted any further.

In this view of the matter, there is no reason to continue the proceedings.

In view of the settlement arrived at between the parties, the FIR No.751/2018 dated 26.12.2018 registered at PS Rajouri Garden under Sections 498A/406/34 of IPC and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are hereby quashed.

The petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
