Petitioner was aggrieved for the reason despite his information of a cognizable offence being given to the SHO, P.S. Economic Offences Wing, Mandir Marg, New Delhi, no FIR was registered. 2.
A status report has been filed. As per the status report, the allegations of the petitioner in the complaint were that an amount of ₹6,74,25,117/- was deposited by someone in his two bank accounts with ICICI Bank Branches at Burra Bazar and Golpark, Kolkata, West Bengal. As per the status report, the complaint received at EOW on 4th December, 2017 was sent to Commissioner of Police, Kolkata, West Bengal on 13th December, 2017. It is stated that the second complaint of the petitioner received by the EOW was also forwarded to Commissioner of Police, Kolkata, West Bengal on W.P.(CRL) 551/2018
28th December, 2017. A further status report has been handed over by learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State which is taken on record. As per the status report an e-mail has been received from Kolkata Police on 21st April, 2018 informing that on the complaint of the petitioner, FIR No.112/2018 under Sections 120B/419/420/467/468/469/471 IPC has been registered at PS Posta Kolkata.

In view of the status report, copy whereof has also been handed over to learned counsel for the petitioner, learned counsel for the petitioner does not press the present petition any further.

Petition is dismissed as withdrawn.
