% 18.08.2025 CM APPL. 50414/2025 (for early hearing) The petitioner has filed this application for advancing the date of hearing of the writ petition.

With the consent of learned counsel for the parties, the application is allowed, and the writ petition is taken up for hearing. W.P.(C) 12474/2024 1.

The petitioner was compulsorily retired from the services of the respondent - Lok Sabha Secretariat, by order dated 22.12.2022. 2.

Although, in the writ petition, the petitioner has challenged the aforesaid order and sought reinstatement with consequential benefits, Mr. Akash Gupta, learned counsel for the petitioner, states on instructions from the petitioner, who is present in Court, that the petitioner does not wish to press the aforesaid relief, as he has, in any event, attained the age W.P.(C) 12474/2024 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. of superannuation during the pendency of the writ petition. Instead, the relief now sought by the petitioner is limited to the release of retiral benefits pursuant to his compulsory retirement. 3.

Mr. Pramod Gupta, learned counsel for the respondent, instructed by the concerned officer of the Lok Sabha Secretariat, states that the release of the petitioner's retiral benefits can be processed from the Bills and Payments Branch of the Lok Sabha Secretariat. 4.

The petitioner is at liberty to approach the Bills and Payments Branch of the Lok Sabha Secretariat for necessary orders, and in case of any difficult, learned counsel for the petitioner may request learned counsel for the respondent to assist in the process. 5.

The writ petition is disposed of with these directions. 6.

The next date of hearing, i.e. 05.12.2025, stands cancelled.
