Vide the present petition, the petitioners seek writ of mandamus directing the respondent No.2 to provide appropriate protection to the lives and property of petitioner No.1, her husband petitioner No.2 and in-laws from the respondent No.3.

The petitioners No.1 and 2 were married on 15.02.2015 with their own free will and consent being majors. As the said marriage was against the consent of parents of petitioner No.1, therefore, the petitioners have apprehension of danger to their lives and properties from respondent No.3. 3.

In view of the above, the respondent No.2/ SHO, Chandani Mahal, Delhi, is directed to assess the apprehension of threat and accordingly, W.P. (CRL.) No.628/2016

provide protection to the petitioners, if necessary. In case, the said respondent comes to the conclusion that there is no such apprehension, he is directed to furnish his personal mobile number and the mobile number of the Beat Constable of the area to the petitioners enabling them to contact in case of any danger in addition of seeking police assistance at 100 number. 4.

In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of. 5.

The Registry of this Court is directed to send a copy of this order to the concerned SHO for compliance.

A copy of this order be given dasti to the learned counsel for the parties.
