The present petition has been filed under Section 29A(4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (hereinafter 'the Act') seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal. 2.

In the present case, the Sole Arbitrator was appointed by the respondents on 18th August, 2020.

The pleadings were completed in September, 2021. 4.

It appears that there was no progress in the arbitration proceedings beyond the completion of pleadings.

The mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal including the six (6) months' extension period, expired on 29th February, 2024. 6.

Thereafter, a sitting was held before the Arbitrator on 8th May, 2025, wherein it was noted that the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal expired long O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 650/2025 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. After some hearing, counsel for the petitioner does not press the present petition with liberty to initiate fresh arbitration proceedings. 7.1.

Counsel for the respondent does not object to the same. 8.

With the consent of the parties, it is directed that the pleadings already placed on record may be used for the purposes of the fresh arbitration proceedings that may be initiated by the petitioner. 9.

The petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms.
