Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 ('BNSS') has been preferred on behalf of petitioner with the following prayers:- "a) Issue an appropriate writ , order, or direction to the Respondent no . 1 to 3 and ensure that adequate protection is provided to the Petitioners against the life threats made by Respondent No . 4 and 5 .
b) Direct the Respondent Nos. 1 to 3 to take immediate and effective action on the complaints made by the Petitioner regarding the threats received from Respondent No ." In brief, as per the case of petitioners, marriage between petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 4 was dissolved by decree of divorce by way of mutual consent under Section 13B(2) of the Hindu Marriage Act vide judgment dated 25.11.2023. Thereafter, Petitioner No. 1 married Petitioner No. 2 on 17.04.2024, and also moved out of her rented house wherein she used to reside with her daughter and respondent no. 5 (son-in-law). On 29.08.2024, respondent no. 4 and 5 came at the shop of petitioners and threatened to kill them.

Learned ASC for the State, on instructions of IO, submits that no complaint in this regard has been received at Police Station. However, in case any complaint is filed on behalf of petitioners, appropriate action shall be taken in accordance with law. He further states that phone number of the beat Constable / IO / SHO P.S.: Najafgarh shall be shared with the petitioners and necessary steps shall be taken in accordance with law, for safety of petitioners, if required.

Taking the statement of learned ASC for the State on record, petition is accordingly disposed of. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed of.
