The present petition has been filed by the petitioner, who is an erickshaw operator and an accident victim, who met with a serious accident on 18.07.2025, resulting in severe injuries and life threatening condition. 4.
It is submitted that the petitioner in the first instance rushed to the Deen Dayal Upadhyay (DDU) hospital in Hari Nagar, Delhi. However, the necessary treatment could not be provided to the petitioner and he was referred to Safdarjung Hospital. Even from Safdarjung Hospital, the petitioner was discharged without the requisite treatment being provided to him.

In the circumstances, the present petition has been filed seeking that directions be issued, for providing of the necessary medical treatment to the petitioner in any government hospital in Delhi inter-alia, DDU Hospital. 6.
Considering the averments made in the petition, the same is disposed of with a direction to the GNCTD to ensure that requisite treatment to the petitioner is provided at the DDU hospital. In case, the medical condition of the petitioner warrants that he be shifted to Safdarjung Hospital, let the respondents ensure that the treatment is provided at the Sardarjung Hospital. 7.
Both the GNCTD and UOI (Ministry of Health and Family Welfare) are directed to ensure that the aforesaid directions are complied with. 8.
