Petitioner is before this Court by way of a miscellaneous application in a disposed of petition seeking extension of parole granted to the petitioner by this Court vide an order dated 17.07.2025 in W.P.(CRL) no. 2121/2025; and extended by this Court vide an Order dated 21.08.2025. 2.

The matter was earlier heard on 21.08.2025 when the following order was passed:- "1.Medical report in terms of order dated 19.08.2025 is stated to have been received. Let the same be placed on record. The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. 2. Learned counsel would submit that till the next date of hearing in the matter, the period of parole granted to the petitioner, vide order dated 02.05.2025, may be extended.

It transpires that the petitioner is a 72 year old senior citizen suffering from multiple medical ailments and co morbidities apart therefrom, he also unfortunately was victim of an accident (the lanter of the roof fell on his head) which resulted in breaking open of his skull into two parts and had to thus undergo a life saving surgery.

Having heard, and in view of the aforesaid, it is deemed appropriate that instead of keeping the matter pending, the parole be rather period be extended by making it specifically time bound and the petition be accordingly disposed of. The parole already granted to the petitioner is accordingly extended upto 17.09.2025. The petitioner shall accordingly surrender before the Jail Superintendent.

Apropos, on resumed hearing today, further extension is being sought. 4.

Learned counsel for the respondent opposes the petition stating that in view of the aforesaid order already passed by this Court, no further indulgence is warranted. The petitioner can approach the Jail Superintendent and his request of furlough can then be considered in accordance with law. 4.

In view of the aforesaid statement, I am not inclined to grant any further extension. However, petitioner is at liberty to apply for furlough to the Jail Superintendent who shall deal with this request in accordance with law and as per the applicable provisions of the Jail Manual. 5.
