The primary prayer in this petition is for directions to respondent no.1-authority to decide his pending representation dated 14.08.2024. By way of the said representation, the petitioner has complained to respondent no. 1-authority that a petrol pump situated at Ajay Enclave, Najafgarh Road, New Delhi-110018 is being operated illegally and in contravention of the provisions of the Petroleum Act, 1934 (Act) and the Petroleum Rules, 2002 (Rules) framed thereunder. He has prayed that respondent no. 1-authority exercise its statutory powers under the Act and the Rules and cancel the license and the no-objection certificate granted with respect to the said petrol The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. Learned counsel appearing for the respondent no.2-Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL), which has entered into a dealership agreement with third-parties for operating the said petrol pump, submits that the petition is misconceived and is an arm twisting attempt to settle the petitioner's family dispute.

Be that as it may, the respondent no. 1-authority's own instructions dated 26.12.2023 requires representations which are filed before it to be decided in accordance with law. Let the pending representation be decided with due expedition, after according due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, as well as to all the stake holders, including respondent no.2HPCL. 4.

In view of the aforesaid, the instant petition stands disposed of. 5.

All rights and contentions of the parties are left open. 6.

Needless to state, the Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the representation.
