The petitioner is a teacher of Punjabi and has been working as such on a part-time basis since 1990 in Municipal Corporation of Delhi ["MCD"] Schools. Her grievance in this writ petition is that she has not been informed as to the availability of vacancies for the academic year 2025-26, and has therefore not been deployed in any MCD School. 2.

According to the petitioner, this communication has not been addressed, leading to the lack of employment opportunity for the petitioner and other similarly placed teachers. 4.
Having regard to the nature of the grievance, the writ petition, alongwith pending applications, is disposed of with the direction that the respondents will coordinate amongst themselves and take necessary steps, within the next four weeks, with regard to the positions of part-time Assistant Teachers in Punjabi in MCD Schools. If the petitioner is not to be employed for any reason, the respondents will communicate the reasons to her. Her rights and remedies in this regard remain reserved.
