This is a petition under Section 29A (4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by a further period of six months from the date of filing of the present petition for rendering of the Arbitral Award. 2.

It is stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that arbitral proceeding is at the stage of recording the evidence of respondent witness No. 2 and accordingly, the passing of the Award stands delayed. 3.

For the said reasons, issue notice to the respondent. 4.

Mr. Singh, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondent and states that he has no objection to the petition being allowed. I am of the view that sufficient cause has been explained for the delay. 6.
