The present petition has been filed on behalf of the petitioners seeking quashing of FIR No. 179/2013 registered under Sections 498-A/34 IPC & Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, at P.S. Jyoti Nagar, on the ground that the parties have amicably settled their disputes. 2.

The present FIR is an outcome of a matrimonial dispute between the complainant/respondent No. 2 (wife) and petitioner No. 1 (husband) whereas petitioner Nos. 2 to 8 are the in-laws of the complainant. 3.

Learned APP for the State submits that in the present case, petitioners are the only accused persons and respondent No.

Learned counsels for the parties submit that after ironing out their differences, the parties have resolved their disputes and are happily living together for the past many years.

The petitioners and respondent No.2 are present in Court and have been identified by their respective counsels as well as by the I.O./SI Pankaj Kumar, P.S. Jyoti Nagar.

Respondent No. 2 states that she has been happily living with her husband i.e., petitioner No.1 and as of now, she has no complaint against her husband or the other family members/petitioner Nos. 2 to 8. She further states that she is giving this statement out of her own free will, volition and without any coercion. She also states that she has no objection if the present FIR and the consequent proceedings are quashed. 7.

Learned counsels for the parties submit that no other proceedings are pending between the parties.

The parties shall remain bound by the statements and undertaking made in Court today.

In view of the above facts and since no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the present criminal proceedings, it is directed that the aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed.

With the above directions, the petition is disposed of alongwith miscellaneous application.
