O R D E R

1.

The present proceedings are instituted on behalf of the petitioner seeking quashing of FIR No.284/2010 registered under Section 380 IPC at P.S. Begumpur, Delhi on the ground that the parties have amicably settled their disputes.

The allegations in the present FIR relate to theft of a set of keys of the bank by the present applicant.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the present petitioner The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

inadvertently picked up a set of keys from counter No.7 during his visit to the bank earlier that day. Upon realizing this, the petitioner visited the bank and returned the keys. Accordingly, as the petitioner did not have any intention of taking the bank's keys, no offence under Section 380 IPC is made out.

Learned APP for the State, on instructions, submits that the petitioner is the only accused person and respondent Nos.2 &3 are the complainants in the present case. He, on instructions, submits that the prosecution evidence is yet to begin.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner and respondent Nos. 2 & 3 have amicably settled their disputes on 20.07.2024 for a total sum of Rs. 60,000/-. In terms of the said settlement, respondent Nos. 2&3 are now left with no claim or grievance against the petitioner. 5.

Petitioner, who is present in Court, has been identified by his counsel as well as the I.O./ SI Anoop Singh, P.S. Begumpur. Petitioner has shown remorse for his conduct.

Learned counsel for the respondent Nos. 2 & 3 states that respondent nos. 2 & 3 have settled their dispute with the petitioner out of their own free will, volition and without any coercion. He further states that all the obligations under the settlement have already been fulfilled and they have no objection if the present FIR and consequent proceedings are hereby quashed. 7.

The parties shall remain bound by the statements made in Court today.

In view of the above facts and considering that no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the proceedings, it is directed that the aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed.
