The present proceedings are instituted on behalf of the petitioners seeking quashing of FIR No. 115/2014 registered under Sections 354/506/509/34 IPC at P.S. Vasant Vihar, Delhi, on the ground that the parties have amicably settled their disputes. 2.

As per the allegations levelled in the FIR, the petitioners abused and inappropriately touched the respondent No.2, causing her mental distress. 3.

Learned APP for the State, on instructions, submits that the petitioners are the only accused persons and respondent No.2 is the complainant/victim in the present case. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the present FIR was registered due to a misunderstanding between the parties and that, with the intervention of family members and friends, the parties have amicably settled their disputes vide Settlement Agreement dated 25.05.2024 entered into between respondent No.2 and the daughter of petitioner No.2, a copy of which has been placed on record.

It is also informed that a cross FIR No. 114/2014 registered under Sections 354/506/509 IPC at P.S. Vasant Vihar, Delhi, filed by the daughter of petitioner No.1 against the husband of respondent No.2, has also been quashed by a Coordinate Bench of this Court vide order dated 20.08.2024 passed in CRL.M.C. 6418/2024.

The petitioners and respondent No.2, who are present in Court, have been identified by their respective counsels as well as by the I.O./SI Sanjeev Choudhary, P.S. Chankyapuri and W/SI Kumari Banti, P.S. Vasant Vihar, Delhi. Petitioners have shown remorse for their conduct and undertake to not repeat the same in future.

Respondent No. 2 states that she has entered into the settlement out of her own free will, volition and without any coercion. She further states that she has no objection if the present FIR and consequent proceedings are quashed.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the Execution Petition No. 5376/2016 and further proceedings related to it would continue as this Settlement has no bearing on the same.

The parties shall remain bound by the statements made in Court today.

In view of the above facts, terms of the settlement and considering the affidavit of no-objection provided by the respondent No.2, no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the proceedings. Accordingly, it is directed that the aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed.

With the above directions, the petition is disposed of alongwith pending applications.
