By way of present writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the BNSS, 2023, the petitioner seeks the following remedy :- "a. issue directions to respondents/ police official directing them to protect the life and libe1iy of the petitioner from the hands of private respondents i.e. local residents and neighbourers, who all are threatening to the fundamental rights and liberty of the petitioner on account of their day to day threats to the petitioner."

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner and the respondent Nos. 3 to 5 are neighbours and that there occurred an altercation between them, resulting in physical harm to the petitioner. 3.

on instructions, states that the Beat Officer has already visited the petitioner. He further submits that the complaint given by the petitioner was received and after inquiry, the same has been filed. He, on further instructions, submits that the Beat Officer shall visit the petitioner again and provide her with the mobile number of the Beat Officer as well as the SHO in case of any emergency.

In view of the submissions of learned Standing Counsel, present writ petition is disposed of. However, the petitioner shall be at liberty to seek remedy as may be available to her under the law.
