The present petition is filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus or any other order / direction in the nature of mandamus thereby directing Respondent Nos. 2 to 6 to ensure the protection of the life and liberty of the petitioners and the family members of Petitioner No. 2. It is further prayed that Respondent Nos. 4 to 6 and other relatives be directed not to interfere in the matrimonial life of the petitioners. 2.

The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that Petitioner Nos. 1 and 2 got married to each other against the will of the parents of Petitioner No. 1.

He submits that the parents of Petitioner No. 1 and one of her cousins are threatening the petitioners of dire consequences. 4.

given to the concerned authorities, however, no action has been taken.

The learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State, at the outset, submits that no such complaint was ever received. 6.

He, however, fairly submits that the present petition will be treated as a representation and action, if required, would taken as per the law.

He further submits that the contact number of the concerned Beat Officer would be provided to the learned counsel for the petitioner and the petitioners would be at liberty to call the Beat Officer in case they feel any threat to their life and liberty. 8.

In view of the above, no orders are required to be passed at this stage.

The petitioners would be at liberty to approach this Court in future in case any grievance remains.
