The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking direction to the Respondent Nos.1 and 2 to provide immediate and adequate protection to the Petitioners from any harassment at the hands of Respondent No.3 or any other persons acting on behalf of the said Respondent.

Ms. Mumtaz, learned counsel for the Petitioners has joined the proceedings through video conferencing link. She states that Petitioner Nos. 1 and 2 are present with her at her office.

2.1 She states that she has instructions from the Petitioners to not pursue these proceedings any further as Petitioners are living peacefully together. The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

Learned ASC states that the enquiry officer has confirmed that Petitioner Nos. 1 and 2 are living within the jurisdiction of PS Jaitpur and are safe.

3.1 He states that the contact numbers of SHO and beat constable have been provided to the Petitioners.

Mr. Yashraj Singh Bundela, standing counsel for the State of Madhya Pradesh appears on behalf of SHO PS Gohad, Maho, Bhind, Madhya Pradesh, who was impleaded as Respondent No. 9 vide order dated 12.02.2025.

4.1 He states Respondent Nos. 3 to 6 have given a statement that they have accepted the marriage of Petitioner Nos. 1 and 2 and are not opposed to the said relationship.

4.2 He states that the statement of Respondent Nos. 7 and 8 could not be recorded.

The status report has been handed over by learned ASC, the same is directed to be e-filed.

The SHO and beat constable of PS Jaitpur are directed to remain responsive to any distress call from the Petitioners. 7.

The Petitioners are directed to pay costs of Rs. 2,000/- to Delhi High Court Legal Services Committee (DHCLSC) within two (2) weeks for their non-appearance on the last date of hearing and to place on record the proof of deposit of costs within two (2) weeks.

In view of the submissions recorded herein above, the petition is disposed of.

Pending application is disposed of as infructuous. 10.
