This is a petition filed under Section 29A(5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by a further period of twelve months from 14.08.2025, to enable the conclusion of the arbitral proceedings and delivery of the final Award.

It is stated by the learned counsel for the petitioners, that since the respondent No. 2 has died, there was a delay. 3.
For the said reasons, issue notice.

Mr Anand, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondent Nos. 4 and 5. Mr. Singh, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of respondent No.1. They state that they have no objection to the petition being allowed.

Nobody is appearing on behalf of respondent No. 3. 6.
I am of the view that sufficient cause has been explained for the delay. 7.
For the reasons noted above, the petition is allowed and the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended by a period of twelve months The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. The respondents have not admitted any averments made on merits. 9.
While granting extension of the mandate, this Court has neither extended the scope of reference nor commented on the same, which is the exclusive domain of the learned Sole Arbitrator. 10.
The petition is disposed of accordingly.
