O R D E R
% 13.03.2018 Status report has been filed by the State. The address of the petitioner at Bihar has been verified. The nominal roll of the petitioner reflects that the petitioner is a convict under Section 10 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offence Act, 2012. His appeal has been disposed of by this Court on 27.01.2017. The sentence awarded to him by the Trial Court of RI for 5 years and to pay a fine of Rs.5000/- in default of payment of fine to undergo SI for 1 month has been confirmed. The petitioner as on 07.02.2018 has undergone incarceration of about more than 31⁄2 years which included the remissions earned by him. His jail conduct is satisfactory. The reason for seeking parole has been mentioned in the petition. One such reason is to file an SLP against the dismissal of his appeal by
this Court which was in January, 2017.
Accordingly, petitioner is admitted to parole for a period of four weeks to be counted from the date of his release on furnishing of his personal bond in the sum of Rs 10,000/- with one surety of the like amount to the satisfaction of the concerned Jail Superintendent with condition that he shall surrender himself before the Jail Authorities immediately on the expiry of the aforenoted period of four weeks; he shall appear before the concerned SHO on every Monday of every week; he shall also furnish his latest residential address and mobile number to the concerned investigating officer. Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
A copy of this order be sent to the Jail Superintendant concerned for intimation to the petitioner.
