By way of these petitions, both the parties seek quashing of cross FIRs registered against each other. The details of the FIRs are as under: (i) FIR bearing no. 1651/2015, registered at Police Station Mangolpuri, for the offences punishable under Sections 323/452/506/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereafter „IPC‟). (ii) FIR bearing no. 1377/2017, registered at Police Station Mangolpuri, for the offences punishable under Sections 354/354(B)/34 of the IPC.

(iii) FIR bearing no. 841/2016, registered at Police Station Mangolpuri, for the offences punishable under Sections 354/506/509 of the IPC.

(iv) FIR bearing no. 259/2018, registered at Police Station Mangolpuri, for the offences punishable under Sections 354(A)/354(B)/506/509/34 of the IPC.

(ii) FIR bearing no. 2430/2015, registered at Police Station Mangolpuri, for the offences punishable under Sections 509/506/354D/34 of the IPC. 4.

The petitioners and the complainants in the respective petitions are present before this Court. They have been identified by their counsels and concerned Investigating Officer (IO) from Police Station Mangolpuri, Delhi. 5.

Briefly stated, facts of the present case are that due to misunderstanding between the parties, all the aforementioned FIRs were registered against each other under the relevant sections. It is stated that the parties in these petitions are neighbours, living in the same vicinity. further stated that due to intervention of well-wishers and relatives, both the parties have amicably settled their disputes and the respective settlement agreements have also been placed on record.

On a query made by this Court, the complainants in these FIRs, who have been identified by the concerned IO, have categorically stated that they have entered into compromise out of their own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. It is also stated by them that the entire dispute has been amicably settled between the parties. They further state that they have no objection if all the aforementioned FIRs are quashed. 7.

In view of the above fact that the parties have amicably resolved their differences of their own free will, without any coercion and no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIRs and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIRs in question. 8.

Accordingly, all the aforementioned FIRs, details of which have been given in the preceding paragraph no. 3 and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

In view of the above, the present petitions stand disposed of. 10.
