The Petitioner has approached this Court for grant of parole for a period of two months in accordance with Delhi Prison Rules, 2018. 2.

Material on record indicates that the Petitioner has been convicted for offences punishable under Sections 302/307/376/392 IPC arising out of the FIR No.295/2006 registered at Police Station Roop Nagar, Delhi and has been sentenced to life imprisonment by an Order on Sentence dated 21.10.2008. The said Order on Sentence dated 21.10.2008 was confirmed by W.P.(CRL) 2788/2024 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. this Court vide Judgment dated 27.10.2009. It is stated that in terms of the Delhi Prison Rules, 2018, the Petitioner is entitled to parole and, therefore, the Petitioner moved an application for parole on 03.06.2024 which has yet not been decided by the Competent Authority.

Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the Respondent/State, in all fairness, submits that in view of the conduct of the Petitioner in prison which is satisfactory, the Petitioner is entitled to parole for a period of 30 days.

In view of the fair stand taken by the learned Standing Counsel, this Court is inclined to grant parole to the Petitioner for a period of 30 days from the date of release, subject to the address of the Petitioner being verified and also Petitioner's furnishing a personal bond for a sum of Rs.5,000/-.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of, along with pending application(s), if any.
