The petitioner-in-person essentially challenges the order dated 31.07.2023 passed by the learned Metropolitan Magistrate ('MM') pursuant to which the charges were framed against the petitioner under Sections 354D/506/509 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860. The order passed by the learned MM is revisable under Section 397 of the CrPC before the learned Court of Sessions. The petitioner, concededly, has an efficacious and alternate remedy.

The petitioner is at liberty to file an appropriate petition before the learned Court of Sessions.

In regard to the prayer that the life of the petitioner be protected, the learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State, at the outset, submits that the mobile number of the concerned Beat Officer would be provided to the petitioner and he would be at liberty to call the Beat Officer as and when he apprehends any threat to his life and liberty. He submits that an appropriate action would be taken on receipt of any such complaint. 4.

In view of the above, this Court does not consider it to apposite to entertain the present petition.
