% 09.03.2017 The petitioners have filed the present petition seeking quashing of FIR No.375/2012 registered on the complaint of the complainant under Sections 289/308/341/34 IPC against the petitioners at Police Station Kalyan Puri. The complainant is present in Court. He has also produced his Aadhar card, which has been shown to the Court and returned. The parties have arrived at a settlement on 29.09.2016, which has been placed on record. The complainant states that he has not been subjected to any pressure or coercion and that he has entered the settlement out of own free will. The complainant further states that he joins the prayer for quashing of the FIR in question.
Initially, I was not inclined to quash the FIR. However, the petitioners have expressed their regret and stated that to atone for their conduct, this court may impose such costs as consider appropriate. Since the parties have arrived at a settlement and the complainant also joins the prayer for quashing of the FIR and the proceedings arising therefrom, the same are hereby quashed subject to the petitioners depositing Rs.5,000/- each with Prime Minister's National Relief Fund. The costs be deposited within a month and the receipt be provided to the I.O., whereafter the case shall be closed.
